How can energy consumption be monitored and mapped for energy modelling?
This study is currently in progress and will conclude by the end of 2023.
Challenge and Motivation
- Up to 25% of the global energy consumption is caused by industry.
- Climate change and political enforce a reduction in energy consumption.
- Lack of energy data to optimize for energy efficiency in Production line.
Objective
- Develop monitoring system and IoT sensors to measure power consumption
- Provide APIs to interface with other application to map energy data
Procedure
- Develop a simple P&P IoT sensor to measure energy flows.
- Develop a monitoring framework to gather and store power consumption data.
- Provide APIs to map the energy data with other application for energy modelling
- Validate the framework on the shopfloor with one machine.
